A substantial total of 175 nominations were received for the prestigious $5,000,000 race, a pivotal lead-up event to the Melbourne Cup. Among the nominations, 24 are from international contenders. Notably, Irish training legends Aidan and Joseph O’Brien submitted nominations for 9 and 4 runners respectively.
Chris Waller, a prominent Sydney-based trainer, has nominated 19 horses for the upcoming race, while the Maher Eustace team has made 15 nominations.
