For a solid choice in Race 3, my money’s on Yvette. She showed plenty of promise on debut, and I expect her to build on that performance. What stands out for me is her ability to close off strongly, which will be key in this race. She’s got a good position to trail just off the pace, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her break through for a win here.

I’ve got my eye on Roma Avenue for a standout performance. This gelding is looking for a third straight win, and his recent form is hard to fault. What I particularly like about him is his versatility over different distances and his ability to lead from the front. The draw in barrier two is ideal, and with Zac Lloyd, a top apprentice jockey, in the saddle, I’m expecting a strong showing.

Bangetta is the one to watch in this race. Trained by Kris Lees, she’s been in fantastic form, notching up wins impressively. Her last win at Scone was a real eye-opener, showing both speed and stamina. Stepping up in distance for this race, I reckon she’s perfectly suited to the conditions at Canterbury and should be right in the mix.
