Markdel is my pick in race 1. Coming off a strong showing in his recent jumpouts, he’s shown he has the grit to contend seriously here, especially with a favorable draw in gate one. This colt has more to give and could really shine with Luke Currie in the saddle, making him a standout choice for an upset.
