This spirited three-year-old mare has really caught my attention. Trained by the astute Maher/Eustace duo, she’s shown remarkable progression from her debut to her last run at Seymour, where she was just pipped at the post. With Mick Dee in the saddle, expertly navigating from barrier three, I’m backing her to go one better today.

Here’s a gelding that’s worth a second look, especially at those longer odds. His commanding win first-up at Yarra Valley was a real eye-opener, and the form out of that race looks solid. With Dan Stackhouse aboard, I expect him to be tactically placed just off the pace, setting up perfectly for a strong finish in the straight.

This four-year-old gelding is knocking loudly on victory’s door. Under the guidance of the Maher/Eustace partnership, he’s been impressive over 2040m at Moonee Valley recently. Stretching out to 2400m today, on a track that should suit him better, I firmly believe it’s his time to shine.

In the final race, Lang Park stands out as the one to beat. This lightly raced gelding has shown plenty of promise, and despite a narrow miss first up at Moonee Valley, I reckon he’s primed to take this one. With improved fitness and a favourable draw, he’s in a prime spot to claim his third win in just five starts.
