This dog looks the bet of the night on a tough program. He has disappointed his last two starts in Special Conditions races at Angle Park and has returned to a more familiar track at Warragul. While there is pace from out wide in boxes 6 Solace and box7 List of Secrets in this race i think Aston Costello can hold the lead from the prized red draw and will take a power of beating. This dog has a good strike of 26% and Devon Meadows trainer Vieki Wisener has an impressive 28% strike rate.

This dog is a short priced favourite in a very winnable race. In his first race start from box one he began like a jet and gave nothing else a chance to run away and win impressively. Although not quickly away at his next start at this course and distance he was able to muster pace  and sit on the speed and power away last for a strong win. Last start he was fair away and got poleaxed but still stuck to his guns and ran on. Even with a moderate get away, as long as he has a trouble free run Junior’s Mate can make it 3 out of 4 at this course and distance early in his career.
