Mick’s Mail: July 29th, Saturday Racing Tips | Expert Racing Tips

I am sticking with this promising galloper and making him the best of the day. Unfortunately the odds aren’t anywhere near as attractive as they were here two weeks ago. But the way he hit the line suggests he might be a promising horse. He probably wasn’t entitled to win as easy he did last start considering the race was presented to Vodka Martini on a platter. While this is a harder field than what he was opposed to last time the fact he is out to 1400 meters today which is what he is looking for. The Gollan camp is flying at the moment so i guess you can’t expect the bookies to be too generous with the odds. But he is the best of the day for me.

I am not big on tipping horses coming off a Gosford Maiden win going straight to Saturday grade but this Filly might be the exception. She found a beautiful spot in running and really put them away when she got clear halfway down the straight for a soft win. I know she had a very easy run in transit and only had to sprint for 200 meters but she really hit the line like a nice horse. They did run almost identical time to the 3 year old Maiden and a full second quicker than the 4 year old Maiden on the same program. There has already been some solid form out of the race with Sicilian winning at Kensington midweek. This doesn’t look an overly strong race on paper and for that reason i am making her the second best of the day.
